《盛夏光年》自2006年推出以來，走過15個年頭收服海內外廣大粉絲，被譽為華語青春同志電影的重要里程碑，如今推出4K數位修復版本重返大銀幕，再度引起影迷熱烈回響。因應疫情影響，前景娛樂與氧氣電影、結果娛樂於26號晚間一連舉辦2場「線上首映會」活動，並難得邀請到主創團隊陳正道導演、張孝全、張睿家，以及當年片中飾演張睿家小時候的演員相博濤，以線上視訊方式，相隔15年首度再聚首，與200位影迷一同回憶當年製作《盛夏光年》的青春回憶。
回顧當年拍攝過程，導演與演員們都深刻記得當時所有人青澀的模樣。當年不到25歲、大學延畢中的陳正道導演，本來都拍類型片，首次嘗試愛情小品，在非常小規模與小成本之下，只顧按本操作，甚至不敢多想深掘背後心理，有如製作學生影片般一起慌亂摸索出了一個自己還滿意的成果，想不到這樣的火花會引起巨大迴響。與五月天阿信的合作更令導演難忘，深刻記得阿信在還沒有看過電影前，光聽著導演描述就把歌曲寫完，兩人也完全沒想過如此實驗性的搖滾歌曲，最後竟成為傳唱度極高的流行經典。電影原為底片拍攝，數位大銀幕與線上平臺上多年來沒有機會亮相，才因此促成這次的修復。導演直言若要做修復，就修復一個自己最滿意的作品，無疑就是《盛夏光年》。
談論起劇中角色康正行與余守恆的男男情誼，張睿家坦承當時年紀輕輕第一次演電影，並不理解這樣的情緒，笑說演出時得「把孝全當成自己喜歡的一個女孩子」，靠著兩人的互動與想像，將自己一直處在壓抑的狀態下，找到暗戀一個人的情感表演方式。一面感嘆當年環境下這樣愛上同性好友的抑鬱青澀情感難以重來，但也對如今社會風氣看待同性戀議題的包容感到欣慰，更開玩笑說現在的康正行肯定該更主動出擊吧！
許久未公開露面的張孝全也難得以神秘嘉賓身分，驚喜上線與影迷解析角色，分享當時年輕不了解動機、矇懂的演出，剛好正符合那個年紀迷惘狀態的孩子，也感慨陪伴與相處過程大於結果，因為那是自己再也回不去的青春，還說到這是他從影多年來，首部被修復的電影。過程中，張孝全甚至大方分享與張睿家大尺度親密床戲的幕後故事，除了以襪子與大力膠為重點部位「做好防護」外，為了揣摩劇中喝醉情形，張孝全笑稱當時確實在導演指示下於片場「喝了再上」，然而因為飲酒且加上過程漫長，使突然想上廁時吃盡苦頭，不只在場來賓笑聲不斷，也讓影迷見識到男神幽默健談的一面。
