《聽見天堂》在2007年於台北電影節首映時就場場完售，創下北市百萬票房的好成績。如今睽違15年，《聽見天堂》將以4K數位修復版重新回到大銀幕。電影改編自義大利盲人音效大師米可曼卡西的真實故事，精彩的配樂和兒童演員們毫不矯情的演出，讓本片一舉拿下當年度義大利奧斯卡的最佳影片及全球45項大獎，被國外影評Variety盛讚是「繼《新天堂樂園》後，最觸動人心且寓意深遠的經典義大利電影。」
《聽見天堂》劇情描述義大利當時禁止視障人士至一般學校就讀，因一次意外導致失明的米可被迫遠離父母到視障寄宿學校就讀，編織工或接線生成了他未來僅剩的選擇。可是對世界充滿好奇心的米可，卻用一台舊式錄音機發現感受世界的新方式，甚至感染周遭的學生們找回做夢的權利，米可最後也成為著名電影音效師，曾與《春光乍洩》的導演安東尼奧尼、《人間有情天》的導演南尼莫瑞提等義大利名導合作。導演提諾波頓刻意在電影的配樂中融入許多大自然的聲音，精彩程度連知名影評人藍祖蔚都大讚：「電影音樂是全片的靈魂精華，華麗而不喧譁、激情卻不搶戲。」
導演克里斯提諾波頓透露在籌劃時，他堅持要讓部分演員由真實生活中的盲人孩童出演，遭合作夥伴勸阻，直言「拍攝三十個小孩已經夠難了，更何況還是視障孩童？」但導演還是堅持在義大利展開歷時近一年的巡迴選角，發掘許多演技渾然天成、充滿生命熱情的視障小演員們。在表演訓練過程中，視障孩童學習著如何在電影中演出，而一般孩童則觀察並學習他們的動作，最後雙方磨合出自然的螢幕表現，讓《聽見天堂》甫推出就在義大利引起轟動，連映超過四個多月，導演表示：「這群孩子的天真還有活力所能帶給觀眾的喜悅以及力量，都造就了《聽見天堂》的成功。」
即將在明年1/13重新上映的《聽見天堂》是許多人心目中的溫馨經典，而為了讓更多人關注到視障議題，發行公司前景娛樂也決定付出行動，將本片的百分之五票房收入捐給愛盲基金會，協助愛盲基金會持續為視障朋友的權益努力，也希望藉此拋磚引玉，讓《聽見天堂》4K數位修復版能在這個冬天讓全台觀眾再次感動。
